Meet Jacquie!

When I tell people what my passion is I always say bookkeeping, and although it is, when I thought about why I love bookkeeping so much I realized that I have a much bigger passion for helping people. You see, I believe that all of us in some manner share this passion. No matter your profession in some way, shape, or form you are helping someone.

Let me share a story of one of my favorite clients, he is a brilliant man who runs a multi-million dollar business. And when I say brilliant, I mean the man could sell ice to Eskimos brilliant! Accounting however, is not his forte. When the partner in charge of the monthly accounting retired, my client got the honor of trying to put the financial statements together every month. He did ok that first year, but when time got tight and he got stressed, the first thing he let slide was the accounting. He  went an entire year without a financial statement, and at the end of the year he had to scramble to get the information together for the tax return. I saw the stress doing the monthly financial statements caused him, so when I finished the return, I told him to bring me the monthly information. I would do the financial statements and we could keep the accounting current. The relief on his face told me that I had just lifted an incredible burden from him.

You see, that is my passion.

Helping my clients figure out how to solve their accounting puzzle. Taking their giant box of haphazard receipts, statements, transactions and other information and putting it all together in a simple and accurate picture of where a business is and what it has done for the past month, quarter, or year. I summarize the information so my clients don’t have to guess how much they are spending on things like inventory, postage, etc. They can clearly see it.  As a business owner , you MUST take the time to know where you are and how your business is doing. And if your talents aren’t geared to keeping these things in order, that’s where I come in.
